We are delighted to announce that the Institute of Data has embarked on a groundbreaking partnership with Curtin University aimed at providing aspiring data professionals with the necessary skills to excel in the rapidly-evolving tech industry.
This collaboration marks the first venture between the two institutions, and we are thrilled about the opportunities it presents.
Our shared goal is to deliver cutting-edge, next-generation learning programs, equipping students with the skills they need to not only secure employment but also excel in the fast-paced tech industry.
We are combining the best of both worlds, delivering traditional in-person and remote academic education with tailored ‘industry-specific’ skills training, offering specialised courses in data science & AI, cyber security, and software engineering.
Under the guidance of experienced instructors and industry experts, students will gain practical experience using state-of-the-art technologies, giving them a competitive edge to secure jobs in the industry.
Our acclaimed programs have a reputation for success. In addition to Australia, our technology skills courses have made their mark in Singapore, New Zealand, and the United States.
We are proud to report a notable 93% job success rate in North South Wales and Victoria, a testament to the impact of the training offered by the Institute of Data. Now, Western Australian (WA) students can access our proven curriculum and cutting-edge learning platform through this exciting partnership.
Executive Director at the Institute of Data, Andrew Campbell, has expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, saying,
Our mission is to empower individuals from diverse backgrounds to pursue successful careers in the tech industry. This partnership will enable us to reach more students and help them achieve their goals, he added.
The bootcamps can be attended remotely or in person at the Curtin Bentley campus and have been carefully designed to meet the demands of the ever-evolving Australian tech industry. Students are offered complete control over their learning, choosing between full-time or part-time bootcamps focused on a number of high-demand fields, such as software engineering, data science, AI and cyber security.
We are thrilled to join forces with Curtin University, an institution known for its commitment to excellence in education, to offer a solution for those with the ambition to retrain in these technical fields.
John Curtin Distinguished Professor Tele Tan, Acting Head of the School of Electrical Engineering, Computing and Mathematical Sciences, emphasised the significance of this partnership, stating,
Whilst these traditional courses are an invaluable part of the ecosystem, practical, industry-led bootcamps, with their condensed 12 or 24-week formats, attract non-traditional adult learners who may not have pursued a university degree. This partnership serves as a catalyst to bridge the skills gap and empower individuals with the practical knowledge and expertise necessary to thrive in these rapidly evolving fields.”
Our mission is to help individuals from all backgrounds acquire the skills they need to pursue successful careers in the tech industry. This partnership will allow us to nurture a new generation of skilled data professionals to meet the surging demands of the tech industry.
