Enrolment Terms and Conditions

1. INTRODUCTION
1.1 This document outlines the Terms and Conditions (T&Cs) for enrolment into courses and certifications administered by Institute of Data ABN 12 618 324 244 and its subsidiaries (IOD).
1.2 The Enrollee must read the T&Cs. By enrolling into any IOD course, it is understood that the Enrollee has read and agree to comply with the T&Cs.
1.3 Please note, if the Enrollee is under 18 years of age, his or her parent or guardian must read and consent to these terms and conditions on their behalf.

2. ACCEPTING AND ENROLLING INTO A COURSE
2.1 The T&Cs are accepted by enrolling into any course either online, in-person or on-the-phone.
2.2 If the Enrollee does not wish to take the enrolled course, they should advise IOD in writing within 10 days.
2.3 Enrollee details may be passed on to IOD’s education and industry partners. If the Enrollee does not wish for their details to be passed on, they must advise IOD in writing.
2.4 Upon enrolment into the course, IOD will hold a place in the cohort or program for the Enrollee for 3 business days until a non-refundable $500 pre-payment is received.

3. CERTIFICATION BENEFITS
3.1 The Institute of Data supports motivated and dedicated individuals who are interested in a career in big data by providing industry certifications.
3.2 Upon successful completion of the education partner or other approved course, IOD actively assists Certified Professionals to find employment and advance their career through its network of mentors, industry and employer partners.

4. HOW OUR CERTIFICATIONS AND COURSES WORK
4.1 Acceptance into the courses are based on entry criteria, motivation and other factors for Enrollees who are interested in a career in big data.
4.2 The certification is awarded to Enrollees who complete and pass an education partner or other approved course focused on the data industry. The certification has significant benefits to Certified Professionals including consulting opportunities, career services and industry networking.
4.3 Upon completion of the education partner or other approved course, Certified Professionals receive active careers services including job ready and search support through IOD’s network.
4.4 IOD assists its Certified Professionals to find a job or land a promotion as quickly as possible after completion of the course but does not guarantee any certain job success within a set timeframe.
4.5 Job success is when a graduate or student commences paid or unpaid work, transitions their current role or starts a new business in the area of training (data analytics / cybersecurity / data-driven marketing) after completing the Job Outcomes Program.

5. CENSUS & START DATE
5.1 The census date and start date are determined by the education provider.
5.2 After the census date, if the Enrollee cancels the program then they are liable for the Full Fee Paying Student fees of the course. If there is more than one course within the program, the Enrollee is liable for the retail cost of each education partner courses that have passed the census date. Before the census date and after the course start date, the refund policy is determined by the terms of the education provider.
5.3 Before the course start date, if the Enrollee cancels then a refund can be made within 30 days but excludes the pre-payment which is non-refundable.

6. COMPLAINTS POLICY
6.1 When a concern occurs, please discuss it directly with your training team or support staff, who will attempt to resolve the situation. If your concern is not resolved, you should provide a written description of the concern to the Student Services Team using the complaint form here. The Student Services team will acknowledge the complaint, investigate and provide a prompt written response. If you are still dissatisfied with the resolution, you may request a review by the Institute of Data Management. Further details of the complaint policy are found in the Student Handbook.

7. LIABILITY WAIVER
7.1 By enrolling into the course with the Institute of Data, the Enrollee agrees to waive, release and discharge Institute of Data, its officers, associates and partner organisations from any and all liability, including but not limited to, any liability arising from the negligence or fault of the entities or persons released, for death, disability, personal injury, property damage, property theft, or actions of any kind which may occur to the Enrollee during or after the course period, including during or after any travel undertaken as part of the course.

8. KEEPING CONTACT DETAILS UP TO DATE
8.1 It is the responsibility of the Enrollee to inform IOD of any changes to their email, postal or residential address. It is also the responsibility of the Enrollee to inform IOD if they change their course or institute during the course.
8.2 Please note, if the Enrollee is under 18 years of age, it is understood that his or her parent or guardian has read and agreed to the T&Cs on their behalf.
8.3 Institute of Data reserves the right to amend these T&Cs for commencing and continuing Enrollees.
